HSV2: Questions needing answered

HSV2: Questions needing answered

just a few quick questions. Can acyclovir cause tiredness, changes in discharge, dehydration, mood swings, and flare up my back pain? i am on the twice a day suppressive treatment due to OB occuring once a month, even though it is an "older" infection according to my doctor

and how could/couldnt i spread it to my family (daughter, mother, etc)? could this be done if they drink off my drink, eat off my straw, etc? im obviously not stickin my tounge in their mouths, and i KNOW to wash after restroom/itching/touching myself......but my daughter is only two and she wants to share everything with me and im scared to give it to her. she wanted me to take a bath with her today and i was scared too.

also, how could accidentally missing a dose effect my HSV2 and what are some UBER effective ways to remember to take it? I cant afford Valtrex, otherwise i would do that for a once a day dose.

i know you will want the numerical results for my blood test, and will call the dr in the morning, but i thought of some other questions.

Are there any mental illnesses that may affect either the HSV2 itself or affect the Acyclovir?
Are there any other medicines, foods, drinks, etc that may affect them?

on that note, the person i aquired this from is unfortunately addicted to quite a few illegal drugs. if those affect it, how and what can i do to help him?

I know a good diet and a "stressfree" life help.

so blood testing was the only testing you've had done?

were you also tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally?

no risk to your daughter! You can take a bath with her - the virus doesn't float through the water. I always avoided bathing with my kids if I had an obvious recurrence just to err on the side of caution.   same with genital herpes won't be transmitted through sharing food or drinks either.

not a big deal if you forget a dose of acyclovir here and there - just try to remember to take your doses 2x/day as often as possible.
