HSV2 from HSV1

Hello,

Is it possible to get genital HSV2 from oral sex performed by a guy who is positive for HSV1? Aren't these 2 different virusses?

They are two different viruses.  So if you have HSV-1 and he has HSV-1 then you are not likely to get it in a new location.  The location doesn't determine the type of virus as they can be found in both locations  (HSV-2 is rarely found in the oral location though).
