Okay my ? is I was just tested 4 hsv1 & hsv2 on 3/29/11 & date reported 4/2/11 frm LabCorp & it stated HSV1/2 IgG 29.4H 0.0-0.8 Negative 1.09 HSV 1 IgG <0.91 index 0.00-0.90 Negative 1.09 Okay! I'am a little confused becuz my Family Dr. who tested me said that i tested negative 4 HSV1. Now here is my test results 4 HSV2 IgG, Type Spec. 3.28H index 0.00-0.90 Negative 1.09 What i SERIOUSLY needing a very clear understanding is 2 know do i have HSV1 & HSV2? & What r the score 4 testing POSITIVE 4 HSV1 & HSV2?
And oh! by the way my family dr. said he want retest me again until i've an outbreak. Which is so....very stupid 2 me. I'am like wth! r u serious? I've no time 2 wait until i've another outbreak. Honestly i don't think that i had an outbreak frm herpes period. I just want 2 have another test done which is the WB and just go frm there. I'am NOT lettin this get 2 me or get me down or even stress me out. I do have Crohn's & the # 1. cause of me havin flareups is STRESS. I'am 2 blessed 2 b stressed.So I'am calm. I've faith & believe & trust God 2 guide me through my lil. strom that i'am havin. All i can say is No weapon formed against my body shall prosper n Jesus name. By his stripes I'am HEALED!!!!! I'am not about 2 let this disaes that i might have tare me down. I'am a VICTOR! & No longer a VICTIM n Jesus name.

So any ways this man has been n in out of jail almost his whole life. So I'am just going 2 follow ur directions & just get retested again by using the WB. What really, truly hurts me is that some men don't really truly care about themselves becuz if they truly did we females woudn't b havin these prblms period. I'am not just only puttin fault on all the men. No way! I'am not. It goes BOTH ways 2. If men just b OPEN & HONEST with us women we will not have 2 go through this @ all. Yes! sex is additive! 2 me but i have the most up RESPECT 4 myself not 2 sleep around with ne & every man that comes my way. & 2 have 2 or more sex partners period. Idk! why i should've warn a condom. But i've allergies 2 latexs. But i know tht there is condoms that i can used that has latexs free. But i honestly TRUSTED this man. knwn him 4 5yrs. then finally i allowed him n my house lived with me & my kids 4 6months. i guess a hard head makes a soft behind. But! i was always OPENED with this man. But honestly he wasn't bein honest with me @ all. Which really truly hurts me.Look I'am NOT PERFECT! NOBODY IS but God & Jesus. I made a stupid mistake by trusting & believing this man. But wut is done is already done. Who is 2 judge me? Nobody but GOD!! there is not a heaven or hell ne human can put me n. I'am only human just like the rest of these ppls on here. So please! dn't past judgement on me. But oh! trust me what is done n the dark will come 2 the light. lol! since you are no longer with this partner, make sure that you are waiting 4 months after the last time you had sex with him for the WB. That way your bases are fully covered in case this is a newly acquired infection for you from him.
The usual STD screening does not include HSV2 and HSV1, so odds are that he (or his wife...) never got tested for herpes. Are you guys still together? As Grace said above, if you can convince him to get tested (properly tested - with a type specific HSV2 IgG blood test) and show you the results, you might be able to know if this is a recent infection or not.
Or just wait a few more weeks (4 months after symptoms onset, at least) and have a WB, so you can learn what's going on.

Okay! Thanks! Grace i certainly do appreciated so very much. I will do just that & wait but i've already had a talk with him & he said that he went 2 the dr. two months ago & stated that he tested negative 4 that & everything else 4 stds. Anyway i honestly don't think he really did get tested 4 that or anything else. He has moved 2 another state 2 live w/ his woman who he was havin sex with her & me. But um... he told me that this woman has always ask him 2 put on a condom b4 the 1st time they have sex then after that they don't use any condoms. Which i stated 2 him that i don't think that sounds right with that picture. I told him that i was just tested 4 HIV & all the other stds on last yr. in Oct. 2010 All my tests came back all negative. I honestly think this man gave me this hsv2 because he was havin sex unprotected sex with me 4 6months & was havin sex with this other woman. Any way he said that his woman gotten tested 2 4 that & it came back negative & for all the other stds as well. So i'am still not out of danger right now because um.... this is what my blood test results had said that i tested positive 4 hsv2. at this point get your partner tested and see what their status is. If he's negative, get the herpes WB when you can. if he's positive, wait a few more weeks before getting the WB just in case it's a recently contracted infection for you.

Well my dr. had said that i had an outbreak of herpes & he end up taking culters of 2 bumps & they came back negative & then my dr. said that i still had herpes even though the test came back negative. & So ne ways i ask 4 a second oppinion & sugg. a blood test 2 b done. & that is when i took the blood test on 3/29/11 came back negative 4 HSV1 but positive 4 HSV2 on 4/2/11. I still don't understand. Only health problems i honestly had was Crohn's disease. then i got with 1 of my long male friend that i've known 4 5yrs. been with him 4 6 months. My health started 2 change on me. Kept going 2 E.R. was told that i had MRSA/STAPH back n November 2010 on left leg then got it again on right lower leg. On Feb. 1. 2011 had a barthan cyst had 2 have it cut open then had a tub place n side the hole 4 it 2 drain then after that was done i started 2 get the same symptom came back like i had on the lower right side of my outter vag. then this bump hurted so badly that i could walk or lay down on my right side or left. i could only lay on my back. Then it had busted where it left blood & pust in my underwear made it look like i was on my period. But it wasn't yet time 4 me 2 come on. I told my dr. what the symptoms that i was havin & he look @ the 1 bump & said that it was herpes that i had. I had an outbreak of herpes. I'am still like naw!!! this can't b right. Still confused. I still want another fresh start & oppinion. Because I honestly don't think i've this std. Honestly!!!! Ty!!!!
the hsv igg 29.4 is a combined igg test and is pretty much a waste of time and money.
your hsv1 igg was negative
your hsv2 igg 3.28 is still a low positive and will need confirmed with further testing like a herpes WB blood test or a biokit hsv2 igg test.
why did you get tested in the first place? had you had symptoms or was this just a routine screening?
