Headaches Caused by herpes or something else?

Hey everyone so I was having a genital herpes scare (unprotected oral exposure 7 weeks ago) but everything seems to have stopped, and no lesions have appeared and after two trips to the sexual health clinic I am hoping to just put this behind me. However I have just come down with a bit of a flu and have had a constant head ache for the last week, with the ache  coming and going throughout the day. I don't generally have headaches much and this has really been uncomfortable that it has been going on for so long. Does anyone know if this is potentially another breakout attempting to come up? My friend had been quite sick a few days before I caught it but he didn't say anything about headaches and I have been reading about herpes meningitis or something and was wondering what the likelyhood was. Thanks

8 weeks is a good indicator.

Well the dermatologist gave it a good look and it seems to be ok. He swabbed an area on my thigh very close to my scrotum that had been itching the last few days and was red and inflamed but i have always had that one area on my thigh get itchy every so often. I described the raised pimple like hair follicles and he said that he is confident they were not lesions. He acknowledged that leg pain and back pain is a sign of herpes but with no actual lesions to physically view he said I would be fine and just to carry on as usual unless a lesion appears.
And one more thing feelingundone.
Would I be right in saying that even if I was to have a recurrent back, leg and buttock pain, if there is no lesions then this is definitely not a herpes infection?

More people than you think. That being said i have not had one person with what you describe actually test positive.

I hope not bro. Dermatologist is booked for tomorrow morning and then i think I will book the blood test in. Do you think that a igg test at 8 weeks would be sufficient enough to get a pretty good result ?

You don't understand the context of hsv symptoms at all. None of this suggests herpes at all. Primary outbreaks happen 3-14 days at the most and include lesions and possible flu symptoms. These are swollen lymph nodes in the groin, fever, body aches....etc. you seem to have read the hsv symotoms list and formulated it to suite your fears. This is more common than you know. Stop trying to peice meal this together.

I know I feel like I have been piecing all these symptoms together and really making myself believe I have caught something. But at the same time I just genuinely felt a lot different what I was feeling didn't just feel made up. What I was feeling just sorta disappeared and it seems like it I was going crazy thinking about symptoms they would have persisted. And that first 4 weeks just felt very odd. But I'm sure it has happened to most people and perhaps seeing the sexual health clinic has calmed me down somewhat
At the same time I'm sure many people have experienced the exact same symptoms and initial shock and unsure outlook when possibly being diagnosed with a lifelong thing like this

The lesions would start forming before the flu like symptoms. You are letting your fear take over.

Ok well when I Thought I saw the lesions and reddish rash it was around April the 17th, one month after exposure but they disappeared same day so I am skeptical about how long they were there for. and in between exposure and that date I had the sore testicles (which was the initial scare) itchiness (but basically thinking when I cut my pubes and the fact my hand was touching my dick every 20 mins inspecting the hell out of it) and slight tingling and some aching around the body. I got a little cold during that period but it wasn't bad at all. I didn't start getting a headache till approx April 28th one day after I saw the sexual health clinic for a second time when it was inspected and given the all clear, and then the flu hit me about 5 days later. Fast forward to now and Headaches pretty much gone, flu pretty much gone. No sign of new lesions or any irritation down there. Sorry for the long posts man. Just really want to get down to the bottom of things. I'm going to call the dermatologist today and book something in. I have also found a place that does blood tests in my country if you think it is worthwhile that I do that too

Nope. If you had herpes lesions you would know it. There wouldn't be any confusion.

I just hope what I saw wasn't lesions and I have just looked at so many damn photos on the internet I've basically convinced myself that I saw full blown herpes down there. Just the fact it was itchy scares me and the back/bum/leg pains. The flu has gone now and no new lesions to report yet

I wish you luck and i am extremely confident this isnt due to any std.
Please keep me posted.

Thanks for the constant information and reassurance. I just had a thought about the lesions I told you I thought I saw in my other post. I seem to remember never seeing actual lesions apart from the day I thought I saw infected hair follicles and then they disappeared that day. but the area was rather itchy and every time I checked it seemed moist  but I always thought nothing of it because I work outside in construction and just decided that it was sweat and me stressing over the issue and touching it so much was possibly making it a bit sweatier plus the fact I cut my pubes made it itchy and that's what I put down to irritating the follicles.   But now I feel like the moisture has subsided and I don't think I could put that down to sweat. Do you think it could have been lesions leaking fluid and I just never saw the lesions? I'm probably just overacting but would like to know your opinion. Thanks again

www.medhelp.org/posts/Herpes/Herpes-Testing-Results-question/show/2976338 10 weeks you Should test positive. I was going to say retest. But I thought 8 days to 3 weeks you can get the symptoms. 8 weeks this person says. Or something about 12 weeks.

No. This is definitely not herpes related.

Thanks for the reply feelingundone. Do you think it could be STD related in any way?
I'm also still getting slight pains and aches in my left buttock occasionally, if that is an indication of anything
No std acts this way. Herpes can cause nerve pain but not all by itself. Meaning outbreaks generally will cause pain. In the absence of lesions this is unlikely to be hsv.
Thanks. Still getting very strange aches and pains that I have never noticed before in my wrist, knee, thigh and buttocks which I really can't explain but I'm putting that down to just me being almost hypersensitive about everything that happens in my body now. I am recovering from the flu I had also, and it appears there is no lesions and I have noticed yet, but still slightly itchy and irritated. I also read something about hemorrhoids being herpes which I have gotten occasionally and think I had one during the past 8 weeks but I really didn't look at it properly. I'm going to see a dermatologist who specialises in STDS hopefully soon just to get him to look at the area
