Help!!!! Cold Sore!

I'm a 19 year old female. About a week ago, I participated in oral sex with a guy that I've had an on and off thing with for a while. He supposedly was told he had a ureaplasma infection, however he went to the doctor and got some medication for it. It was supposed to have been taken care of, and I know he had the medication and saw a doctor, because as his close friend I went with him...
Well just yesterday, I started to break out in a cold sore. Can a ureaplasma infection cause cold sores?

I've had one cold sore more than 6 years ago, or i think it was a cold sore. I'm not sure. Is it possible that if I have HSV 1 and i have like chapped lips or something, and the ureaplasma wasn't completely cured, that maybe the bacteria got in and maybe triggered the HSV?

I believe ureaplasma is a bacteria and only HSV can cause a true cold sore. Have you had a history of cold sores in the past? If so you already have oral HSV 1 most likely, tons of people have it and acquire it from family when they are kids. If this is your first ever you could have either HSV 1 or HSV 2 and may want to have a dr check it out as first outbreaks can be severe for some people. It's possible it's from the oral sex but it could also be from eating or drinking after some one, sharing Chapstick or lipstick or many other situations where you could come in contact with the active virus.
