Help!!! dont know if I have herpes

I kissed a guy last week and he didn't have a cold sore or anything but after I kissed him I felt my lips tingling (I don't know if they really were or if my mind was playing tricks on me) but after I got really scared and began to look up herpes to see if i had any symptoms. The only thing I thought I had was the tingling. After about two days the tingling went away and I have no signs of cold sores anywhere. Should I go get tested or am I just overreacting?

generally the tingling is after the primary outbreak and is followed by blisters

also your encounter is very low risk

oral herpes is not going to present that quickly. odds are he had something on his lips you reacted to like hot sauce or something.

Okay, the tingling has went away on my lips and it started to tingle under my nose for a few days. Today there was no tingling an there are no  bumps under my nose either

just tingling like this and no obvious cold sores could be due to any number of things. if you are concerned, follow up with your provider.
