Hi Grace ,
I've same result baby indicated. I tested 9 months ago as routine test and all blood work is Neg. two weeks ago i tested and mentioned same baby's result. the dr said i have Genital Herpes infection without explaining more details. There's no any symptoms I've at all on my penis. what you think is that considering a serious, is that mean positive, is that contiguous ... sorry for my bad writing.
thanks,
Abdul
You can find it at www.westoverheights.com :-)
grace,
thanx for the info; you have been extremely helpful!
have not read the herpes handbook; where can I find it?
once you are positive, you stay positive though the actual numeric values will change somewhat over time sometimes.
not unusual to have genital herpes and not realize it until you get an obvious lesion that gets you seen. it's far more normal than you probably realize!
have you read the free herpes handbook yet?
so, what does the >5.00 represent and does it ever change? if it does change, what causes it to change?
obtw, HSV 1 is >5.00 and HSV2 is >5.00
HSV 1 IGG Type Specific
AB >5.00 H
HSV 2 IGG Type Specific
AB >5.00 H
in dec. i got a sore on my vagina. I didn't realize what it was...i shaved one day, the next morning i was sore; i thought i had nicked a hair bump. it went away in a few days. then last week i got blisters on my bottom. thats when i got tested. its weird cause haven't had sex in over a year. i will say my stress level has been off the chart; have had 3 deaths in my family (nov, dec and jan). i started valtrex today. i looked up the symptoms on the internet; it feels like another outbreak is starting....whew!
thank you - I just wanted to be sure you really did have proper testing done. I don't like to assume anything and give you advice based on the wrong information.
You have hsv1 and hsv2 both. odds are your hsv1 is oral and your hsv2 is genital.
had you had symptoms or was this just a routine herpes screening?
keep asking questions!
grace
thnx Grace
here's what's printed:
HSV 1/2 IGG, Herpeselect
Type Specific AB
HSV 1 IGG Type Specific
AB >5.00 H
HSV 2 IGG Type Specific
AB >5.00 H
disregard your igm results. the herpes igm test is a flawed test and the CDC specifically recommends not using it for herpes diagnosis in adults.
just to be sure - you got the results of hsv1 igg >5 and also a separate result of hsv2 igg >5? or just 1 > 5 for both?
