I have a question..well alot..i was recently diagnosed with hsv2 now...i kno my life is not over...now can I still have children im a male..and I take valtrex everyday..now wht I want to kno is can I have an uninfected partner and have childern with her if she comes along..i cnt imgine having to tell someone this but the day will come im 22 and dnt want to be alone all my life..i want kids and I want to b happy now is that possible of is it just a pipe dream and im going to b alone...
once again, herpes will not cause you frequent pain this long. confirm your status and follow up with an urologist to try to get to the bottom of things.
Rite ok ..so I been,dealing with this since 08 ne meds..my numbers should b higher...and I dnt think the valtrex is going to wrk for other symptoms

perhaps an urologist then is a good idea at this point. pain for 3 years is more than your family doc can deal with.
O.k so one more thing grace. So how does the number system wrk..if 3.68 is low whts high...how does that system wrk..and the thing that mess with me the most is why do I have symptoms everyday.. I have some type of feeling everyday...

Hummmm o.k cuz my symptoms are evryday..he kind of laughed at me I had the burning first...i tested negative then posutive almost two years later...oh by the way this has been everyday since late 2008..so the3.68 is low..

since you haven't had a lesion culture come back + on active symptoms, worth confirming your status. If you don't want to get the WB, wait and your next recurrence, be seen within 48 hours of its appearance for a lesion culture and typing.

Well I have had symptoms...they are as follows
First I had sex in november the condom broke then about a week later my testicles started to fell funny..theni had this burning feeling in my penis on the inside.. I had these feelings first then I went to doc tested for chlymida and genorea negtive..then in jan I first got tested for herpes...i have burning everyday..inside of penis..my urine sometimes have a cloud in it...but I have had herpes like bumps and sores...it was my last symptom...they a recurrent..i didnt get my first one yntill feb other symptoms was first...when I went to the doc I just had a sore that heald...they never crust over...i feel it everyday...the sore came last once he saw where the sores were he said herpes and drew my blood called me and told me I was posituve...

there are some false positive issues with herpes igg blood testing which is why we recommend confirmatory testing with results in the range that yours is in.
3.68 is considered low, especially if you have never had symptoms. What was your reason for testing?
Ok on the paper this is how it appears type one <= 0.89 is the range result 0.11.
Type two <=0.89 in the reslut part its nothing now abnormal 3.68 he circle that and wrote shows herpes type two infection...my heart droped..

so that was your hsv2 result or the results for both hsv1 and hsv2?
if that is your hsv2 igg, it's a low positive and needs confirmed with further testing. A herpes Wb blood test is the best test to use to confirm your status as a true positive.
once again, genital herpes will not keep you from having a family.

It says 3.68 ehi...he says thats how he knows..ive been freaking out cuz I always wanted a family..
I can best help you if you post your test results here for me to look at - e.g. hsv1 igg 6.6 and hsv2 igg 2.9 or whatever they are. that way I can be sure you were properly tested and don't need additional confirmatory testing done.
1 out of every 4-5 people you know has hsv2. It's incredibly common. do you see all sorts of folks sitting home alone because of herpes? you'll only be a lonely ole man if you chose to be - herpes won't be part of the reason why!

Blood test..i really freaked out...i thought I was going to b alone and know women would want to b with me..i would have no kids...i would be a lonly old man..
how were you diagnosed as having hsv2? what testing was done?
will you be alone because of herpes? Oh heck no!! You can easily control your herpes and get the risk to a female partner down to 2-3%/year which is less than the risk of her becoming pregnant if just using the pill. have you read the free herpes handbook yet? you can google it or the link is in our read before posting post too.
