I think you have what we have been calling genital anxiety. Very common to worry about something going wrong in the genital area after a risk experience. I think the solution to that is to do the adequate testing at the appropriate time and allow yourself to believe the results.
First of all, the medicine you took isn't really good at treating anything genitally acquired, but it probably won't hurt you. The medicines for treating most bacterial genital infections are ceftriaxone injectable and azithromycin oral or doxycycline oral. Sometimes a third medicine called Flagyl is added.
Have you ever in your life had a cold sore on your lip?
Terri
Good, you know where you stood previous to this contact.
Terri
Well, I think your risk of infection is not high, both because it was a single exposure and part of it protected.
Are you sure your testing included HSV 1?
If you test again, I would recommend waiting 12-16 weeks to do it again.
Terri
No. I have never had a cold sore. She did not have any noticeable sores. I got a complete std test and everything came back negative but it was at 16 days. I am 2 months post exposure with no sores. Should I stop worrying so much? When should I get a follow up test?
I have accession all groin pain as well, but I feel like I only feel it when I am stressing about it
