Hereps test UP to 6 months ?

Hi Grace,

I just read online www.herpesselect.com   some antibody needs up to six months to show up positive result for HDS 1 or 2 by IGG blood test...  I got confused really .. where's the true ? Cause I had pain  again below my stomach and groin area go and back for 2 or 3 days and pain in my back legs and butt but no sores around my gentile area but I need to inform u my blood test result after 3 months from my last contact was negative for HSV 1&2 by IGG ....Is this pain related to STDS (Herpes) or nothing ? Coz Last time I went to the doctor he said not see any sores around my gentile to say its a herpes but I know most ppl do not get sores with HSV2.....
I'm so sorry coz I posted again but really I need your help and experience....

the vast majority of folks will test accurately by the 3-4 month mark that we recommend regularly here on all the herpes/std related forums. No reason to continue testing longer than that if you aren't having obvious lesions.


Most folks with symptoms like you've described, do not have them because of herpes.  Negative test results at the 3 month mark is definitely a reason to move beyond herpes as a cause and pursue further work up for what is causing it. I believe we've discussed this already in your other posts correct?

The doctor in the form here said herpes can give u a pain in lower back and legs and in groin area so why you said about the symptoms I described to you not related to herpes after 3 months negative result.
