it. Unfortunately if this has been going on for over a week now it's too late to get an accurate lesion culture too. Seeing as how he had a cut in this same area it's not likely to be whitlow. I really think he's been misdiagnosed though really if you two have been into some kinky toe sucking stuff or toe ah um something else - do tell :)
I suggest seeing his regular doctor about it. It's probably a bacterial infection and not herpes whitlow.
