Hey everyone, yesterday I was in the shower and I was cleaning myself down there, and when I touched it I noticed it felt a little irritated on this spot
is a little red but it doesn't hurt and I can't feel it if I don't touch it. Like I said it is on my clitoral hood, right above my clitoris. It's right in this crack where my hood kind of folds. There is also a little redness on both sides a farther down on my hood, but what most concerns me is this little cut
before when I got a yeast infection a few years back, I think because I didn't treat it at the time. But they were more severe and in a different place (the fold between my outer and inner labia). And they were accompanied by other classic yeast symptoms.
I haven't had sex in over 2 months although I did have receptive oral sex once about a month ago. Does this sound like herpes? And if not, what could it be?
herpes forms in blisters or pimple like lesions, not cuts. so u should be safe... get checked out if there's any more symptoms or if it persists or worsens.
Thanks for answering suzi, It is only the 2nd or 3rd day and the cut is barely visible, and was not even sensitive to the touch. I thought I read on here that herpes can show up as cuts, irritation or ulcers, as well as blisters..that's why I am concernced. Any other opinions are welcomed.
Thank you grace, can yeast and bacterial infections cause this sort of thing, especially with no other symptoms?
Because I have had yeast infections in the past with fissuring and irritation, but they started out with the itching and discharge and so on, is it possible to have a more mild one without all the symptoms?
I know I can't be diagnosed over the internet, but does this sound like herpes to you? Or is the testing suggestion more for peace of mind? It only appeared a couple days ago and is pretty much gone now. Thanks for your help.
There are different kinds of yeast out there - you don't always get the same kind all the time. Each one can present differently from the others.
this could be many things. Until you've been seen and start your work up, no way to know. lots of nooks and crannies down there for us gals to have issues with sometimes.
