Herpes 2 risk with masseuse who has lesions

Hi,
Last week, I had protected sex with a Chinese masseuse in HK on missionary for 5 mins tops before i turned her over and realized she had some lesions on her butt close to her anus, some of them had scabs. I asked her about it and she told me the weather was getting humid and hence she had a rash on butt. However, from what i saw it did not seem like it was a rash, it looked more like lesions. She then told me she has been having a monogamous relationship with a guy she was seeing for the past year and he is her only sex partner all this while. Her last test was a year ago and the results were negative.

What are the risks of catching herpes 2 with a woman with open sores?

Or could it be some other forms of std?

Should i get tested? It has been a week and i have no lesions so far.

Sorry. Spell check got me. Scab over.

Numerically it's probably in the ball park of 1 in a 1000 with your protected exposure. 14 days I would start to feel very confident.

Hi,
You said risk is higher if the lesions got swabbed over, how much higher if they are confirmed to be  herpes? Could I get some estimated numerical perspective on this?

you said a week without lesions is a good sign.. At what point can I be almost reassured without having symptoms and hence do not need to be tested when the 3 month window period arrives

If they were hsv lesions that were swabbed over your risk is higher. That being said it could have been many things and not herpes. Now your sex was protected and that gave you some protection from the virus (if that's what it was) keep in mind that most exposures even during this phase would not lead to transmission. The fact that it's been a week and no symptoms (lesions) have occurred is a very good sign.
