Herpes Outbreak after Hysterectomy

I am a 45 yr old woman. I had a vaginal hysterectomy a week ago and am recovering quite well from that. However, yesterday I noticed that I am having an outbreak. This is my first outbreak since my initial one 3 yrs ago. I am wondering if this is common due to the trauma of vaginal surgery or is this something that I am going to have to look forward to more often. I consider myself a "health-nut" and was sure that I was controlling these outbreaks through healthy eating and exercise. Any advise or information on this? Thanks!

yes this is common due to surgery.  I wouldn't necessarily expect that now you'd get a lot of ob's, just not unusual to get one when you've been thru surgery.

Do you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally?
