Thank you for the response. I think I can let this rest based on your response, and what I've read on the subject and symptoms, such as pain and healing time. I was worried because, I know this virus can be horrible and I didn't want to expose anyone to anything. I think you agree. Thanks again.
Hi,
This post somehow did not come up with my new posts, I'm really sorry about the delay in responding. Sometimes they just don't come up, not sure why.
So the blister on your finger could be herpes, but I really doubt it. I think most people have had little blisters on their fingers, they vary in size and many are bacterial, most are not viral. Here is they key - if it happens again, in almost the same place, then you need to have it swab tested, and I would have it done right away when it shows up, before the blister is broken is best. In the meanwhile, I wouldn't worry about it. If there is no blister on the finger, even if it is herpes, it is not transmissible like it would be genitally. The genital area, because it is thin skinned, can allow virus off, even when there is no sore, but it is not the same for fingers.
At this point, I would not suggest antibody testing for you unless you are just really so worried, you can't let this rest. What do you think?

I was just curious as to the standard response time to questions? I posted my question on sunday and it's now wednesday. I'm sure you are very busy, as there are a lot of questions to answer. I'm just still a little worried and looking for some reassurance and if you could get back to me at your earliest possible convenience that would be great. Thank you for your time
