with little white bumps on them. This lasted for 2 days. She recently was tested for herpes and the results came back negative. However she had been wearing excessive amounts of chapstick prior to the test and feels that the chapstick may have fooled the test. Is that at all possible? I hope not, because on Saturday night we were at a party and I moved her drink by grabbing the top of her cup around the rim. I then proceeded to refill my drink from the keg and I made slight contact to the rim of my cup with my fingers
I think you have an over inflated idea of how oral herpes is transmitted, certain conditions have to be in place for the virus to live and I doubt very much if sitting on the rim of a cup is one of them.
Considering 80% of the population suffers from oral herpes it would probably be safe
