Is it common to only get the herpes lesions on the tip of the penis around/on the opening of the urethra?

Is it common for herpes to be transmitted to the genitals via oral sex only and if so, whould it be the urethra/tip of the urethra that is most likely to be effected by this?

How long does it take on average for lesions to become visible?

no it's not just the tip of penis that can show symptoms from infection from oral sex.
