If i get a positive Herpes Titer, is that 1) reportable to the local health department and 2) is my spouse required to be notified?

The doctor can't tell your wife.  Why would you want to put your wife in danger with HIV.

This link has some good info on HIPPA.

usually  hsv is not reportable. you'd have to call your local health department to see whether it is or not where you live.

no, your spouse can never be told that you tested + due to hipaa laws.
