Herpes Transmission Question

This forum has been of great help and I would like to put forth my case too.

I had spent like 30 minutes with stripper on 09/01 but did not have any oral or intercourse sex. We kissed few times (No tongues involved) and had couple of lap dances. There is hard grinding and also I touched her body quite a bit. Since 2 weeks I have burning. tingling and itching sensation in most parts of my body including groin. I observed skin discoloration of testicles and skin peel off of 8mm near bottom of penis. It was tinging pain and stopped after 3 days as I applied Micanozole Nitrate. No pain during urination or no sores on penis.

I got scared and went for all panel STD test at local lab with 7 weeks of potential exposure. Everything came back negative except Herpes being positive for HSV2 IgG test Specific Ab to be 2.12. I am devastated as I never had any sexual relationship of any kind before. Reading the forum, I hope it is a false positive. What should be my next step? Does Biokit confirm I have the same?

Also, please advise if it is indeed positive, does it transmit through use of utensils, towels and does <5 yr old kids get infected by touching or holding them? or sharing an apartment with roommate?

I think you need to discuss this issue in depth with your Doctor and ask for explanations on why if you have never engaged in sex or oral sex you can possibly be HSV2 + there has to be an explanantion for these results but I'm afarid I don't know what it can be.

I wish I could help more on this but I'm a bit confused to say the least.

Nope, I have never had any oral sex either. I am planning to get Biokit done also soon. Is it advisable or should i go for another Herpeselect. I am getting traumatized, I shall visit my doctor and let him check out what I have. I have a white rash inside my cheek also. Will get that checked too.

I think I would hae another test because something isn't correct are you sure it was HSV2 and not HSV1 you tested positive for ?
Anything done at STD/GUM Clinics is completely annonymous you don't even have to give your name and they certainly won't visit your home to check anyone,your roomates son will not be affected in any way,the only thing I would say is IF you or anyone else for that matter has an active cold sore Orally kissing the child must be avoided at these times as there is definate risk of transmitting to him that way.
HSV2 is only contracted via vaginal intercourse,it is possible but not too common to contract it orally though,have you engaged in any Oral sex at all?

Have another test just to double check the result.

Thanks Daisy for the response. Thats what bothers me also that the test shows positive although I have not had any sex. I am not married and did not involve any sexual activity before

(1) SHould I go for retest? if so what is the best time?
(2) If I go to doctor, does public health visit home to check everyone
(3) My roommates son is a toddler and was wondering if he would get affected
(4) I still have itchiness all over my body. Not sure why?

If you have had no sexual relationsip it is not possible  to have HSV2  and NO it cannot be transmitted via untensils and the like or sharing an apartment no one will get infected through  touching you,however,great care must be taken with new born babies by anyone who has a cold sore as this can be very dangerous to a newborn who has not yet developed immunity.
