Herpes Transmission from Genitals to Mouth - HELP

Hi there,
I have a question that I desperately need some advice with.
5 days ago I had a very low risk encounter with another man.  I licked and sucked his scrotum for about 2 minutes.  There was no other contact at all - I did NOT even touch his penis, only his scrotum.  It was broad day light so I looked at his scrotum and there were absolutely no ulcers, swelling, etc on it.  2 days later I noticed that I had some red spots on the roof of my mouth, they literally look like broken blood vessels.  I have no fever, no pain and the red spots (now on day 5) have not turned into ulcers.  Yet the red spots are still present.
- Is it possible that these red spots are broken blood vessels from the rigorous sucking action on this man's scrotum, or is there a clear indication of primary herpes infection?
- Is it common to get infected with herpes in this manner from genitals to mouth?
Any advice would help me out tremendously.  Please please help!!
Thank you,
Harj

I love your sense of humour Grace!!
You've got my kind of humour :-)
However, you didn't answer one of my questions - is it common for someone to become infected with Oral Herpes from someone else's genitals through an act such as what I described?  And would you say I am in the clear to give my two babies a big kiss - they are only infants?????
Thanks so much again Grace.

most people don't look inside their mouths after giving oral - unless it hurts of course.

I know if I sucked someones scrotum, about the only thing I'd be worried about is stinky ball sack breath ;)

One VERY LAST Question -

Have you ever met or heard of anyone who actually had broken blood vessels on the roof of their mouth via sucking???

Thank you Grace, I PROMISE to stop asking questions now :-)

Grace,
You are a truly beautiful person for answering all of these questions - beautiful!!  Thank you again for answering my questions.
My last question for you is:

- Have you ever heard of someone acquiring oral herpes via sucking on someone else's scrotum and if so, would this then be HSV 2 that would be acquired orally?????

Thanks again Grace - you are awesome!!
Harj

PS - I will try my best to stop looking at the rash!!

no testing needed from this encounter.

herpes lesions look differently on different people. I'm sure you can google herpes stomatitis for pictures of herpes inside the mouth.

I wouldn't worry much at all about the rash inside your mouth. you can gargle with salt water if you want to help heal it or it should actually be starting to heal soon. best thing to do is unless it really hurts, stop looking inside your mouth ( which I'm sure you've been doing several times a day...lol ).

Hi Grace
Sorry for making another post, but one last thing that I forgot to mention is that the red spots (which look like broken blood vessels) are clustered together at the roof of my mouth - does that mean anything??
Thanks

Hi Grace and Larry,

Thank you both for your comments and feedback, it means a lot to me to get a response from both of you so quickly - THANK YOU!!

That was my only exposure - licking and sucking the scrotum of this man who had no obvious sores, and then I developed that one symptom, which looks like broken blood vessels on the roof of my mouth - red blotches I guess is the best way to describe it.

So Grace, you don't recommend any testing for this exposure?  Thanks also for letting me know that sucking can cause blood vessels to break, I was searching the Internet for information on that particular topic but couldn't find anything.  That makes me feel much better and helps to explain what this could be in my mouth.

Can I just ask - what are the symptoms of an initial herpes outbreak???
Thank you so much again for your support... I'm just really worried, as I have 2 babies and don't want to infect them.
Thanks so much.

it's incredibly unlikely that you contracted a  std from just licking someone's scrotum.  this isn't worth any testing at all.

yes if you suck hard enough, you can cause the blood vessels to break on the roof o your mouth.

Just wanted to let you know kind of did the same as you but my action was hand on penis then to my mouth. I have checked my mouth over and over again and I have the same broken blood vessels I believe this is just normal things in your mouth.
