Herpes? What test to do?

Hi I just posted this in the STD community, but might be better in here.  Sorry for the double post.

Just over a week ago, I had very brief protected sex with a CSW.  The very next morning, I woke up to very tingly scrotum.  These tingles lasted for about 5 days with nothing happening, and then my scrotum started to get red.  The tingle remained off and on, and coming into the 8th day of tingling the scrotum is still red, and has a bit of burning.  I've been checking hundreds of times a day, and no blisters/sores have come up.  I know you don't need blisters to appear for it to be herpes, but could it happen to tingle for this long and no outbreak, especially for a primary outbreak?

I know the best thing would be to get off the internet and see a doctor, as I'm sure the anxiety hasn't helped.  What kind of doctor should I see?  Is there a swab that can be done, even though there's no open sores?  One week is too early for a blood test I hear.

Any advice?

So does this sound like herpes? Or could it be some other fungal infection I got from her?

testing for herpes would be in 3 months not now. Syphilis in 6 weeks.

I'm sure there was some rubbing contact, but again would have been very brief, and I wasn't able to see if there were open sores or not.

The scrotum is still a bit red (not so much in the morning but throughout the day), and the tingling comes and goes.  This is 9 days after possible exposure, and started the morning after.

Is it possible to get tested even if there are no sores, just redness at this point?

Anxiety is getting the better of me and I would just like to know or not.

Hi, brief protected sex with her not having any genital or lip sores, your risk for contracting herpes would be close to zero and no symptoms of any std appear the next day so your symptoms are not related to the act. I wouldnt bother to test only if you have a long term partner and if the genital area outside the condom did not make rubbing contact, your risk is zero.
