Last question. If the herpes is genital, will it be found in faeces?
I think your anxiety is making things worse for you. First, you must get tested, to be sure you have the virus at all.
There are no documented cases that the virus can be passed via inanimate objects. Herpes whitlow (herpes of the hand) does recur, but not very much.
The virus requires skin-to-skin contact with an infected person who is shedding virus at the time (has virus on the surface of their skin). In addition, the virus has to come in contact with either a mucous membrane (mouth, genitals) or a portal (cut, wound, tear, abrasion, etc.) in the skin of the uninfected person.
Please don't stress yet. You don't even know that you have the virus!
For a realistic chance of infection there must be skin to skin rubbing. Simple touching or transferring by an object represents virtually zero chance.
I'd think any private doctor could order the test for you.
Woops I meant to write this to you:
.Also did you see this question? "Also how long would the virus survive outside the body, but on other skin?
Sorry about all the questions".
Sorry about bombarding you with questions .

I have read that about hands. But mine are always cracked from washing, so I would assume that the virus could then shed through those cracks.
I don't really know what to do as I don't know where I can get tested
The incidence amongst females in the UK of HSV2 is more like 1 in 10.
It is most unlikely that you have herpes of the hand. If you do, then outside of having sores it is not believed that herpes can be transmitted by the hand given the thickness of the skin.
Most everyone you come across who has oral cold sores got them in their youth, whether they remember or not.
I'm just so scared of transfering this to someone (Not by sex).
If I have hand herpes then I could be spreading it everywhere :/
Also how long would the virus survive outside the body, but on other skin?
Sorry about all the questions
Thankyou.
I have read that 1 in 4 people in the UK have HSV2..
Also I had a partner once who developed a cold sore. He said it wasn't one and he never got them, so that means its likely he got it from me.
I'm so sacred sorry
I believe you do need to obtain the testing privately in the UK.
Note though that the UK has one of the lowest incidence levels of HSV2.
It is quite improbable based on all you describe that you have HSV2.
No, there is minimal if any virus in bodily fluids that doesn't survive long away from the skin's surface.
Also, when I say can I spread it by my bodily fluid on a chair, I mean if someone got in on their hand then went to the toilet or something. Would it be possible for them to get it that way.
I don't know if they offer blood tests for it in the UK?
That does not really sound conclusively like herpes at all. It sounds like you have had these symptoms for a while. A blood test more then 16 weeks beyond possible infection will be conclusive. Make sure you get tested for IgG antibodies type specific for HSV1 and HSV2.
I sometimes get rashes on my buttocks and thighs. It has been known to feel like insect bites, but when i rubbed it with my flannel it felt like I rubbed the top off and got a sharp stinging at the time (Like pulling out a hair or pricking with a needle)
Why do you suspect that you have herpes?
If you do, then it is not possible to transmit herpes through what you describe.
