Herpes and Mutual Masturbation

So ever since my scares of a few years ago I've been playing it much safer. But I have now what I hope to be my final question. Seriously now see why people become monks. I had an evening with a woman that included mutual masturbation. Thats it. I touched her vagina and then I masturbated myself.

About 3 months after it happened, I had been dealing with a lot of stress, moves etc, and masturbated in the shower. It was very hard and vigorous and when I was done finished my shower and got out. I felt a slight stinging under the head of my penis. When I looked, I saw what looked to be somewhat like rug burn. Slightly bloody, and I couldn't tell but looked kind of like it was oozing.

I went straight to a local Emergency Care clinic and had the doctor look at it. She said, since it was not currently oozing, there was nothing she could do, but it didn't particularly look like herpes. Nevertheless, she gave me Acyclovir and sent me on my way.

I didn't take any of the Acyclovir and the scab healed in a day. (Very quickly) I had a slew of tests done nonetheless, and they all came back negative. So I felt like I'm probably fine. (Except for constant pain and crawling sensation in and around my penis, constant anal itching, I mean CONSTANT, and pains in joints that feel like they're related to pain in various parts of my groin.) But I thought, this is ALL psychosematic.

So fast forward to 6 months, I'm in a relationship that is going along nicely, (these pains have all persisted, but I go to my doctor and urine tests are fine.) I start realizing I have NEVER had an HSV test. And of course, now that I'm reading about it, I'm finding things all over that say, "it can look like a rash, jock itch, etc" "It can lie dormant for years", It can shed without symptoms. And then, the woman I'm in a relationship with gets flu-like symptoms. (Cough, Fever, muscle pain) and then I'm doing laundry and see yellowish residue in her underwear!

Now I'm freaking out. Could I have given this person Herpes!? Do I have herpes? Are those bumps I see under the head of my penis where that masturbation rash was 3 months ago? Sometimes it looks like they're there, sometimes I'm not sure.

So I know it sounds like I'm cracking up. I had an IGg test done on Friday and I'm awaiting results but is there any advice to be had here? What, if anything else, could be going wrong with my groin area? Anal fissures? Pudendal Neuralgia? I assume a bladder infection would have come up at my GP's urine test. If it turns out I've got HSV, did it come from the mutual masturbation, or some other encounter in the past and I've just never known?

I'd love any advice anyone has to give. And I'll post here when I discover my HSV results. Hopefully future readers can get some solace or advice.

Your mutual masterbation was a no risk event. No sstd's are transmitted this way. You needn't worry about hsv from this exposure.

There are so many sites that talk about the risks of mutual masturbation when you touch both partners with the same hand.

You most likely have a well established oral infection from your youth and don't get cold sores. This is very common. Hsv1 when on the genitals has few outbreaks and sheds very little. There is no way you got hsv1 from this exposure. Zero. Another give away is the fact if you had no hsv before this and in some crazy way contracted hsv1 genitally you would most likely experience a nasty painful primary outbreak 3-10 days later.

Ok, so here's my last question. Could this current relationship, with someone who has a known regular coldsore, be the place I got hsv1? I mean, I HAVE been having burning and shooting pains for the past couple of months. And the past few months have included unprotected oral sex with this same person. I was cleared of all other STI's back in October. But since then I feel like I've had worsening pains in my groin area coming to a head in the last week. I wouldn't call the way I feel mild in any way. And she did have a coldsore a couple of times over the last 4 months. We didn't engage in oral sex during her outbreaks but could asymptomatic shedding theoretically have given me on outbreak? The timing of my tingling sensations and eventual pain have been happening since then. Currently I'm still having shooting pains in my urethra, an extremely itchy anus and perineum, joint soreness and bloating and I'd like to figure it out. I'd frankly love for hsv1 to be the answer. Though I guess I should talk to a urologist anyway.

And it was a 31.0. What does that even mean.

You probably have a long standing oral infection from your youth and don't get cold sores anymore. If you didn't have hsv1 and she gave it to you on your genitals, the overwhelming odds are you'd have had a very nasty primary outbreak

OK. Here's the kicker. So my blood tests come back positive for hsv 1. Not hsv 2. Now, I don't remember ever having a cold sore. Not on my mouth. So I'm wondering if what I have around my penis is hsv 1. I guess I'll keep an eye on it and see what pops up. Here's my questions. The woman I'm with gets cold sores somewhat frequently. We always abstain when she does. But recently it looks like she got a cold sore on a different part of her mouth. (Same lip, just looked like it had moved to the left slightly.) She's only been with me. Could I have gotten the hsv 1 from her? Could I have given her a different strain of it? If she HAS hsv 1 on her mouth, can she get it on her genitals? Does hsv 1 shed when its not visible? I feel like I'm more confused than ever. Thanks. Trying to figure out what to expect going forward.
