Herpes and joint pain help

Hello all I am new to this forum hoping to get a little better understanding if there is anyone else out there suffering with my condition.  I was confirmed to be herpes 2 positive about two years ago, right after my first breakout i started experiancing joint pains.  Is there any direct  ties with joint inflamation and herpes 2....your input would be helpful...KP dont care enough to find out the just give me endless amounts of prednison to controll the swelling in joints...

thank you....

Grace,

im not on any medication for herpes,  kiaser gave me something when i had a breakout.  Kiaser had me take prednison to help with the inflamation of the goints.  I since lost my heath coverage so i havent had anyone to answer questions and was just wondering if the joint pain was related as they both surfaced in the same time frame.....thank you

too early in the morning - meant a rheumatologist , not an endocrinologist!

have you seen an endocrinologist yet?  this isn't a herpes issue.

also steroids are known to trigger herpes to be more active. are you taking daily suppressive therapy too to keep your herpes under control?

how were you originally diagnosed as having hsv2?
