Herpes from cold sore?

I'm kind of worried about this.. My boyfriend gave me oral about a week ago (Monday) at around 12-1 in the afternoon...
and that night he said he felt the tingling of a coldsore coming up..
He didn't have any blisters, redness, or bumps forming that day, his lips looked normal.
Within 2 or 3 days he started to form a cold sore...
Now that it's been a week, the coldsore is now blistering and starting to heal.
So am I at a big risk of getting herpes from this situation?
And how soon will I start to see symptoms? I heard that you sorta feel flu like symptoms for your first outbreak?
Quick responses will be greatly appreciated! :)

knowing your own hsv status would be helpful. if you already have hsv1 and didn't know it, odds are you won't contract it genitally.

at this  point, just wait and see. if you get obvious painful lesions in the genital area, be seen within 48 hours of their appearance.

Hi Grace,

No I have not been tested to know my own herpes status. Would symptoms be flu like?
Thanks for the quick response too!

have you ever been tested to know your own herpes status?

if you were going to contract hsv1 genitally from this, odds are you would show symptoms sometime within the first 3 weeks afterwards.
