Herpes from oral

I have had HSV1 my whole life and have periodically gotten cold sores. I have recently noticed what appears to be a cold sore near my genital area. I have only had unprotected intercourse with one person who does not seem to have either HSV-1 or 2, but I have received oral sex from another woman. Is it likely that I contracted genital HSV 1 from the oral, or more likely that she had HSV 2 on her mouth and that I now have that as genital herpes?

One more question: is it likely or even possible for me to spread herpes from my mouth to a woman's genitals and then back to my own genitals (either immediately or on a later sexual encounter)?

too late for lesion cultures.

go and be seen for the basics  and any std testing that would accurate at this point and go from there.

It hasn't completely healed yet, although I think it's getting there.

I guess Planned Parenthood or the Health Dept Clinic.

if this is healed now, you are limited to what testing you can get done now.

now is a good time to pick a regular doctor - that way you  have established a relationship for routine health care as well as when you are sick and need a doctor :)

you can follow up at this point with proper testing at the proper times. you can test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trich and vaginitis any time after 1 week after you last had sex. syphilis after 6 weeks. herpes, hiv and hepatitis after 3 months.  should you get a return of genital symptoms before the 3 month  mark, try to be seen within 48 hours of the appearance of symptoms for a lesion culture and typing.

do you get your oral symptoms on your outer lips or inside your mouth?  have you ever been tested for herpes before?

I have never really been tested for anything, but obviously I need to go get checked out to really determine what this thing is. Frankly, I don't even know where to go. I don't really have a doctor or anything.

I was away from the forum for several days. there was a post about it I made the effort to bump up daily.

what testing have you had done so far for herpes? did you also get tested for other std's?

So nobody has any advice here? Is it just a crazy question or is there something wrong with how I posted it?

That's ok. Abreva is an OTC cream you can buy at the drugstore. It works in a couple of days, usually.

I have HSV1 genital for 10 years and never got a cold sore. I've been under a lot of stress the past few days and one popped up on my top upper lip right in the front. Its not a big nasty looking thing, more of red spot. not too bad... Is there anything that will clam it down so it goes back to normal? I canceled my plans for tonight and going relax with a movie to see if that helps...
should I put anything on it?
