asking about herpes and getting tested for it ( along with other std's ) is being sexually responsible. Nothing awkward about it - it's what we all should be doing!
My main concern is HSV1. What i see so far is that not everyone is aware of their HSV status, especially if they weren't sexually active and dont get testings done. However, since when HSV1 orally is so common (lukcy me still doesnt have it), kissing with a newly met girl can get me contracted. It will be very awkward to ask every girl i met in the future about their HSV status before we get into relationship (even kissing), not to mention they might not even know their own status. So there is a 50% chance i will met someone with HSV1 orally, not to mention majority of US population has it. If i just intentionally infect myself on the lower leg, i never ever need to worry about contracting it on my face or penis.
Not many of us make it to the old folks home without hsv1. It's incredibly common. If you and your partners get tested and take precautions if they do have hsv2 you can keep your risk down to 1-2%/year of contracting it from them. why in the world would you purposefully infect yourself with something when you can avoid it with a little effort?
Hi
Its really sound stupid.
This might sound stupid but.. my HSV1 and 2 status are both negative from test 3 weeks ago.
Instead of worrying about catching it for the rest of my life, what if i just intentionally have somebody spread it to my lower leg. I can make a small cut so virus can get it. This way, i will develop anti-body and i will never need to worry about catching it anywhere else on my body or spread it to my future half. I also dont need to worry about my future half's HSV status. Even if i get OB, it still stays on my lower leg only.
I spoke with the store manager yesterday and she said she tests the ladies twice a month.. i think she meant year. She might be lying but consider its a store front massage business (not legal though), i tend to believe her.
Anyhow, 2 days now and no symptoms so far.
there are legitimate brothels/ escort services where they do get their workers tested regularly and have rules regarding herpes infected clients and workers. In general though you are being really naive if you believe that someone who is supporting themselves through sex for money is that 'safe'.
I'd say we all need to be accountable and responsible for our own actions. Know your partners STD status prior to having sex with them. Otherwise, don't have sex with them.
thanks for the comments, the alcohol irritation only last about a few hours. Now i feel perfectly fine.
I dont know if there are any SW on this forum but i assume even if they do have STD, they will either seek cure or avoid clients during OB? Since they live on providing service, they wouldn't want to upset their clients.
washing up after sex/oral sex doesn't do anything to reduce your std risk. Using alcohol on your genitals to cleanse does nothing but to cause you more issues than you would've had had you done nothing at all. in the future, never use rubbing alcohol ( or purell or similar products ) on the genital area.
Really your risk was incredibly low for contracting anything. We never recommend any testing from receiving oral unless you have symptoms. Unfortunately you irritated your sensitive genital skin a lot now probably with the rubbing alcohol so any symptoms you do get, most likely are from that and not a std but it'll be difficult to know. At this point just leave your hands off of your genitals and don't use anything other than a mild soap in the shower to clean with. If you get any obvious symptoms, see your provider promptly.

You did STD test everything was negative, then you had oral sex yesterday? Am I right?
If your encounter was yesterday then you need to test after 3 months for herpes.
1.Its Possible.
2. If you infected HSV1 on gential the symptoms will show in 2-3 weeks or non.
3. Yes
4.I'm not sure, otherwise you pass on by yourself its very rare but you won't infected again by HSV1.
5.Doc says in this forum.
6.You couldn't kill the virus by washing alchol.
