Thank you for responding! Would a bacteria infection look like herpes? And would it come and go? I think it would be great if was just a bacterial infection but it seems like herpes. It itches and tingles just before, during an OB and after. I can also feel it tingle other times in between OBs. I dont have insurance so I probably wont go to a dermatologist, with my luck I'd never be able to an appointment at the sametime as an OB. I will keep in mind and may try that the next time I really think I need to see a dr over it. I dont really feel comfortable talking about it to the Dr I have now. I think it is because he so young, and he the type that just wants to figure out what drug to send you on your way with and isnt that good at making you feel like he is helping you. Thanks again for your response!
You should be following up on all of this with a dermatologist to confirm that it's all herpes related on your face. You might actually have a bacterial infection you are spreading or something else going on.

Are you sure? I was getting it under nose for 5 years before it appeared in my nose. I got it under my nail because I had a cut under there and touch the one in my nose before I realized what it is was. The one on my lip just appeared resently, about six months ago. I starting getting these in 2001 so about 7 years before it appeared. It is also on the opposite side of my face. I think I got it because I tried using ice onetime when I felt one coming and it stopped dead in its track. After that I used ice often when I felt it coming but I used it once on an actual sore and I think some of the melted ice must of had the virus in it and dripped down to my lip. I alway tried to use a towel to soak up the excess water but sometimes I use a paper towel and it wouldn't work as well. At one time I had them 9 months apart but when I birthed my first child in 05 I got mono at the sametime and started getting them every 3 months. They slowed alittle when I stopped nursing but I got pregnant again 6 month later. I am not sure if I got them every 3 month when I was pregnant the 2nd time, maybe it more like 4 months, but I nursed for 14 months and got one every 3 months. I thought that they slow down when I stopped nursing but they didnt. I have a really weak immunesystem. I dont know if it from the mono because it has been almost four years but every since then I get sick alot and OBs alot. I was also on bedrest for a long time both times I was pregnant. I have been trying to work on my immunesystem and build strength through my body but it is hard. I have a bad foot so I can only exercise/walk a little before I am in really bad pain. They say that once you have herpes your body builds anti bodies to prevent spredding but I just dont think that works for me. I worry so much about getting it my eyes because I have allergies and my eye itch constantly. My husband tells me to itch them with the inside of my shirt to prevent spreding but them eyes get sore from the rubbing and get really nervous. Thank you so much to anyone that takes the time to read this and respond. This thing has taken over my life! I have been having really hard time with it, especially since it went to my lip because I can no longer kiss my children and blow raspberries on there soft squishy bellies.
No, this isn't an issue.
You didn't actually spread your herpes from under your nose to in your nose and then to your lip - it was already there from the gitgo. Herpes infects the trigeminal nerve and can cause ob's on the skin anywhere in the facial area where the nerve supplies. Now if they cultured anything on your finger as being herpes then yes that was transmitting the virus to the finger.
