Herpes infaction

I test my blood against herpes the result i get as follows:

HSV 1 & 2 (IgG) result 4 positive

HSV 1 & 2 (IgM) result .169 negative
what shall I do? is their madicine

You had a combo test done and an IGM test.  You shouldn't have had an IGM test done because they are worthless when it comes to testing for Herpes.  

Your IGG test was the best one to run but the combo tests are not the best.  You need to talk to your doctor and get a type specific igg blood test done.  This will tell you what type you have.  If you have ever had a cold sore then you know you have HSV-1 orally.  Which isn't uncommon given about half the adult population has it and we get it as a child.

Also this test should be done 3 months after your last sexual encounter.  

Their is medicine out there for HSV outbreaks but really you don't know what type you have and at this point if you have herpes at all we need to know which type.
