Herpes inside of mouth?

I went to PP and the little red bump on my penis was just irritation. It's gone now. They couldn't even do a culture because of the smallness and there wasn't fluid------



But here's my question. I had two sores. In my cheek. Both left and right. One went away but the new one on the right side appeared and was a little worse. I kept messing with it with my tongue, with the tip of it. But now, I have a sore on the tip of my tongue. Can herpes affect the inside of mouth? Like inside cheeks or tongue?????
