Is it true to you can acquire  herpes by kissing the cheek of a person with herpes or shaking hands with them,or just being around them when they sneeze?

herpes is a direct contact virus. you won't get it from someone sneezing.

you also aren't going to get it from shaking hands.

a social kiss on the cheek as an adult usually isn't enough to transmit the virus either.  It's more romantic type kisses as adults.
