Herpes kiss on cheek?

My aunt gets cold sores, and I have been tested throughout the years and I do not have the virus. She gave me a big, wet sloppy kiss on the cheek today. She didn't have any visible cold sores of any sort, but can I still get the virus from her through our transaction? I heard you can through saliva :-/

sounds like you are just overly anxious that everything has to be herpes since your aunt's kiss. as I already said, cold and flu germs are easily transmitted from just breathing within 3 feet of someone. Not likely any of this is herpes related.

It just seemed slightly coincidental that i got this sore throat, and I also have this red patch on the roof of my mouth. It doesn't hurt, but my throat does. I don't quite know the behavior of herpes so I don't know if this has anything to do with my aunt kissing me, or if this is exclusive.

SOre throats from Herpes are usually extremely painful.  Be seen for a proper work up.

I might be looking too deep into this, but I woke up this morning with a terrible sore throat, and I have what looks to be a red rash that's breaking out on the roof of my mouth. Would this be something that sounds herpes related? I can't help but think about my aunt kissing me and wondering if what's going on with me is related to her kissing me? Thank you!

correct - social kisses are just fine as far as herpes. Now cold and flu germs are easily transmitted through them but not herpes.

So it's ok to let her kiss my cheek when she has no visible sores? I can't avoid kissing her 100% of the time and I don't want to stress about this! Thank you!

as an adult, oral herpes is almost exclusively transmitted through romantic type kisses, not social pecks. You aren't likely to contract hsv1 from this.
