Herpes never goes away

I was diagnosed several months ago with herpes II and went on Valtrex.  I started out taking a low dose and went to a larger dose because it didn't seem to help.  Well, now that I've increased my dose I don't seem to just have an outbreak in one area.  Now it seems that my entire insides has the outbreak.  Is there something else that I can take to help?  I've started doubling the increased dose that my doctor called in for me.  Can Valtrex cause a yeast infection?  Except it feels more like herpes instead of yeast.  I've also been having a sharp pain in my lower pelvic area around the time of my cycle.

This isn't all likely to be due to herpes. You need to see your provider and get a full work up to find out what all is going on. When it doesn't respond to antivirals it usually means because it's not due to herpes.

Would the Valtrex cause the vaginal area to "dry out" so that it loses it's moistness?

It might, but so can an infection like yeast or bacterial vaginosis.

You really need to get checked for those.
