Herpes on hands

I (a male), have genital herpes, and I had unprotected sex with a female. The next day I had an outbreak of herpes blisters. There were no signs of an outbreak the day before when we had sex. About 23 days later, my partner has what definitely looks like a herpes outbreak on the back of both of her hands between the thumb and forefinger. She has never had Whitlow before, but suffered with facial/oral herpes for many years during her youth. She has not had a facial/oral attack for several years. Is the outbreak on her hands a result of our encounter several weeks ago? Is there a way to tell definitvely?

she needs to go and be seen immediately. they can do a lesion culture and typing to see if it's herpes and if so which type.

she also can get herself a type specific herpes igg blood test at the same time to see what her status is.
