Herpes on my side/back area?

On friday i felt a puffy rash on my lat area and today its formed into 3 little blisters that form a triangle. they tingle and hurt off and on and the surrounding area is also tender to the touch. i do get cold sores on my lip and i also wrestle so im wondering if i picked up something there or is it cold sores spreading to my back? Below is an image, you can see the 3 dots in the middle of my side/back. Any input is appreciated thank you.

Usually in the aged when immune systems are getting weaker. There used to be the theory that you only ever got chicken pox once then shingles once. I believe now that there is more acceptance that there can be a number of minor outbreaks during a life time on the body, but I'm not a doctor.

This would all be quite rare, but then again a lot of people come here as they are having some form of rare occurence!

Yeah im worried it could be staph as well and if thats the case, i need to get it treated soon. Im 36 and thought shingles was mainly seen with older people no?

Only in exceptionally rare circumstances and usually involving being infected in those areas at similar times.

There are too many possibilities such as staph or shingles for example to consider well before a spread of HSV1.

Agree but this is definitely something.. I get other bumps etc that I ignore but this is painful and tingling and changing presentation. Is it possible to get cold sores on your lip and also other parts of the body?

It isn't unusual to not have an explanation for all the sores and blemishes that appear on our bodies.

I'm confident this isn't HSV related.

Thanks for the quick reply.. My other thought was maybe Staph but it doesnt really look like that either. Other than a bug bite maybe, I am stumped.

These do not look like cold sores. If you have a well established oral infection then you are most unlikely to become infected in another location.

I'd be very confident there is another explanation.
