Okay so I was recently diagnose with a yeast infection and 60% chance of herpes. I should receive my results within a well from today. Before my emergency visit to the doctors, I had discharge for months. I was unsure if I had a yeast infection or BV since I get them often, well at least the yeast infection. In January I was tested for the basic STDs, the clamp, trick, etc. test results were negative. In Feb, I was tested again but this time I got blood work done for HIV nd other STDs, which also came back negative. I also missed my period for 2 months. In the meantime worrying about my cycle I had a really bad odor at least I thought I did. My partner said that I was losing my mind and that he didn't smell anything; however, the smell was beyond strong to me. This cause me to buy VH essential for odor treatment. It is now the end of March and while using this cream I start itching and getting a little irritated but I continued to use for the last two days. While using this cream my period decided to come on. So now I'm using this cream and my period is on. I had to use a pad which was rubbing my skin pretty bad. In addition, I went for a rung with my pad on not thinking about a tampon. I realized that the rubbing of the tampon was to much so I wore a tampon but it was really irritated by than. I went to a walk in clinic and was seen by a doctor. I told her all of the above. When she viewed my vagina she agreed that I looked very irritated but she wanted to take a culture of the broken skin. When she returned she confirmed that I definitely had a yeast infection, but she is unsure of the herpes but it's a 60% chance and gave me medication just incase. I also take extremely hot showers which could also contribute to agony.
My question today is based on the information I have given you do you think it is a possibility for something else other than herpes?

Well, now you answered it. If it looks like blisters, chances are it is herpes. There isn't a whole lot of things that produce blisters and unless your aiming a blow torch down there so if you are seeing blisters, most likely herpes. The severity of it is sounds like an inital outbreak. If it is HSV1, you are lucky. The outbreaks are very infrequent compared to HSV2 and you may never ever get an outbreak again. If you are seeing blisters down there, get to a doctor tomorrow and have them swab it and tell you which type of herpes it is. You probably got it from some guy who was shedding either knowing he has it or possibly not. You don't have to have outbreaks to shed the virus. There are periods during the month where you shed the virus and other times it is dormant in your nerve ganglion. Don't worry though, I will say it is HSV 1 since you only had oral sex down there. 80% or more of the people in the world have this disease so you are not in the minority. In fact, Chicken Pox is a Herpes Virus so how upset are you if you ever had that? If you don't think Chicken Pox can come haunt you again, read up on what Shingles is. These are all part of the herpes family. Just take a chill pill and don't worry, this isn't a big deal. Definitely get them blisters checked out!!
Yes, I took monistat for those reasons thinkin I had a yeast infection when really it was a UTI (which causes burning and itching). They look like blisters and some look like white head pimples! I'm so scared and in soo much pain! Idk what to do!
Yeah but didn't you take the monistat because you had burning and itching to begin with? It might have made it worse but the fact is you did have itching and buring going on before you applied this stuff. I doubt it is herpes also but let's not try to ignore that possibility either. The facts are if you did get it, it would be HSV1 which really doesn't like to live down there like it does in the mouth region so getting this severe burning and itching from HSV1 genitally isn't really likely. What do the bumps look like exactly? do they bleed? If you have been seeing blood, doubt it is herpes. Herpes isn't really a bleeding type of disease but more blistery clear fluid. However, sometimes people only get bumps or red marks or rash for a herpes outbreak. The disease varies so much
I've only had oral sex done to me by 3 guys over the course of 5 years! I just got through reading another story of a girl went through the exact same thing as I did when using monistat (I'm talkin bout every detail is exact). She went to the doctor and they told her she had a severe reaction tO the medicine! It really gives me hope that I don't have herpes!
You definitely have symptoms going on down there. For a Doctor to just say you have it without doing tests, I would question that and go get a blood test next month. The doctor should have swabbed it and had it checked and if you are still having symptoms, get to an STD or dermatologist tomorrow since they are trained to know what to look for. I don't have faith a family doctor can accurately tell you one way or the other since this disease varies so much. Your symptoms can be herpes no doubt but there is a good chance it isn't either. When you say oral sex and never had any other type of sex, was the oral done to you or them? If it wasn't done to you then it can't be herpes. If it was, it is very possible whoever was doing this was shedding the virus and chances are, it is HSV1. Don't freak out. Most people in the world have HSV1 so you are among a majority. If it is HSV1, you may see outbreaks once in a while and possibly never again. It isn't really in a friendly environment down there as it is on your mouth area. HSV2 is the one who is more at home down there and not so friendly up on top. I know I am all over the place with this but the only answer you are going to get is get checked out with a blood test in a month or 2 or if you are still experiencing symptoms, go get it checked out out tomorrow morning by someone who deals with STD or Dermatology. A family doctor just isn't trained to accurately point out Herpes. I don't mean to make them seem stupid but we have seen many people get told they are positive for herpes only to find out they aren't. Also, when did you have this oral sex episode? If nothing touched your vagina it can't be herpes or any other STD. If so, the timeline for something to show up would be about a week or so. It can be slightly shorter and can be up to a few weeks to first see herpes. From what you have explained, it sounds like it would be a first outbreak so probably recently contracted if you have indeed had something sexual happen within a few weeks time period...
