Herpes or General Skin Irritation?

Hi. I'm a female that received unprotected oral sex from my then boyfriend back in November 2009. Following the time period afterward, nothing significant changed with my body. I usually shave my genital area so I'm thinking I could have have really bad razor burn that hasn't been properly treated.

In the beginning, there was just itching while I washed that area. I visited my OBGYN in January 2010 and got tested for everything except herpes for some reason. I tested negative for all other STDs and while I was examined, my gynecologist didn't mention that she saw anything alarming.

Now, the irritation is more severe. None of the small bumps hurt, they just itch. And some are red. There's no open wounds or scabs either. It's just a little bit red in the area that I shaved with small bumps. It's never disappeared then reappeared again either.

I've never had any flu like symptoms or painful urination either.

I'm going to get my OBGYN next Thursday but I wanted to see if any one could have a clue as to what this may be?

Also, there aren't any bumps on one side, just some on the other side. If it were herpes, wouldn't the bumps appear equally in areas?

And, wouldn't I have contracted herpes in the mouth since we kissed? He was also a virgin at the time and we never had intercourse.

if you have worsening symptoms, you need to go and be seen and get them checked out. You would've have a herpes infection going on for 3 or 4 months though.

To have a herpes infection occurs for 3-4 months at s time doesn't make sense...

this isn't herpes going on for this long as I already said. seeing your provider this week is the best thing you can do to get better answers.
