Herpes or Jock Itch?

hey, i had oral sex about a three weeks ago.
one week later i got this redish rash on the head of my penis.
it is like scaly and has a few very small little pimple like things inside the rash. (kind of like tastebuds on your toungue but almost not visible at all and not red.)
i went to a doctor about a week ago and she said it was jock itch, she didnt really examine it to well so i am worried that it might be herpes or something. she did prescribe a creme to apply two times a day, and it seems to be clearing up a little.
-there is no pain, burning or itching.
what do you think this is?
