Herpes or Poison Ivy

recently got a weird rash on my neck, no blisters just red. that has no subsided somewhat but it still itches. the weird thing is that i now have some on my lips (not the surrounding area, directly on my lips) that is itching terribly and ozing a bit. there are no big sores and they are not clustered by spread over my lips completely. I am very prone to poison ivy, seriously allergic in fact, and I have a friend who has had it and been in contact with me. also i have recently peeled and eaten a mango, which i know can cause poison ivy in rare cases. I personally beleive it is poison ivy because i know what it feels like, and I haven't been sexually active in a while. It also seems to be spreading somewhat quickly and my whole face has begun to itch. the part that is confusing me is that my genitals are now itching somewhat too, so i am a little worried. I am mostly looking for a conformation that this is most likely poison ivy, in which case i will probably just tough it out, or if some of you think it is herpes then i will go see my doc. Any thoughts?

yeah i know its poison ivy, its already spread some more, but the oozing has stopped so im just going to buy some calamine and call it a day. it is actually getting better rather quickly which is nice, probably because i can't really scratch these areas

thanks

you need to be seen and get this looked at. I'd totally be guessing as to what is going on and because so many different things can cause these symptoms, being seen today or tomorrow is in your best interest.

is it likely this is herpes? no it is not likely that it's this wide spread.
