Thanks for the advice. I will give it a try. It can't hurt
It would appear that the shaved area is coming in contact the creased in some position during the day, either standing or sitting or crossing your legs. Stop shaving, try some of the OTC cream and see if it clears up. Aloe is very good for healing properties. Skin tissue can become damaged (the epidermis) from different things and become cronic.
I am guilty of shaving the area. I may have potentially nicked myself back when this happened but I am not certain ( not in creased area but on scrotum). Doctors look at me like I'm crazy because they don't see anything but I can feel it. Not itchy just irritated. If it is fungal shouldn't it have spread after 3 months? The same spot is coming up irritated.
Some times that creased area can get to sweaty and develop a fungal issue or to dry and cause itchyness. When i have issue like this i use some OTC cortizone cream with aloe to or even some corn starch. If you shave the area you should stop.
Thanks for having me and thanks for the quick response. As I said before I've been tested for everything and all tests are negative. The weird thing is that the irritation is on the left side of my scrotum only and it comes and goes during the day and its been happening for a few months now. The primary care doctor and the urologist don't seem to have a clue.
Hi and welcome, the best way to confirm herpes is by testing. The numbness in your foot suggests a pinched nerve not herpes. The scrotum is not a place for newly acquired and unlikely for recurrent outbreaks. Also the head of the penis is not a place for outbreaks either but more on the shaft or pubic mound area. This may be fugal related.
There is a term used called prodrome for those with herpes and is a sign of a pending outbreak but its more tingling and should not last longer than a few days before a sore appears.
Does it appear your having a herpes outbreak? No it does not.
