Sounds absolutely nothing like herpes at all.
Thanks for your response ! I've taken my toddler to the doctor once again about her palms and finger tips , they have been blotchy red (no rash) just looks like she been slapping something with both her hands (but she hasn't). One hand has been like that for about a month and the other one for about 2 weeks. They kind of look identical, when I press the really red spots in her hand they just turn yellow which is her normal palm tone . Is this at all indicative of herpes ? Her doctors act like they don't know what it is and they've never seen it before, and finally referred us to a dermatologist so we're waiting to go.
The cracked lip will be due to dryness of the lip; hydration, sun or wind exposure etc. This may then be accompanied by an outbreak for someone who is HSV1 positive. The crack itself is not an indication of herpes.
so you are saying it could start off as a small crack in the lip?
Hi, it could be most often a blister does appear.
