Herpes or cut

Could herpes manifest itself as a single linear cut/gash at the bottom of the vagina. This cut appeared 2 days after multiple and prolonged rough sex. I developed some type of bacterial infection/UTI and after completing the antibiotics the cut basically disappeared in about 4-5 days. I said I'd go to the dr if it got worse when I noticed the cut first appeared but after noticing it just continued to get better. I figured it was herpes related it would get worse before getting better. It was also painless.

I have heard about paper cut lesions, what is the likelihood of an initial herpes outbreak appearing this way?
I have type 1 orally but those are always blisters and take about 10 days to heal.

Does this warrant testing?

The only place where it does not scab over is inside a vagina.

Herpes travels to the surface up the nerve in a liquid state, that opens scabs over and heals. But this can be so subtle that its barely noticable.

Life would a herpes related cut still have liquid in it and scab over?

A first time sore will appear at point of contact and the reason you might first notice it as it became irritated. personally i feel its from the sex but if you have any reservations then by all means have a blood test.

And I'm only concerned with this exposure I have tested before. Would you recommend testing?

Can they appear immediately as open cuts or tearing from the beginning and skip stages?

Too soon for a sore to appear as an open cut.

Hi, yes they can appear as you describe but getting them at the 2 mark is really cutting it close as most often takes at least 3 days. Since it happened right after the rough sex, it would appear more likely connected to that.

Does it warrant testing now? I dont think the concern would be from having one brief affair but if your sexually active and never had a hsv test, i would recommmend it just to confirm your status. Test at the 8 week mark as this would include this recent affair as well.
