Herpes or hair follicle?

Hello,
Recently I received unprotected oral sex and participated in protected vaginal sex (I also had fairly long pubic hair at the time so direct skin contact might have been less likely if it matters). After a week or two I noticed a bump in my pubic hair region about 1 inch or so above my penis. It looked like a hair was coming out from the area so I pulled it out and then some blood and clear liquid came out along with the hair. I picked at it because i was worried it was herpes so it became more open but otherwise it didnt hurt, I didnt have any other soreness or sick feeling and then it eventually went away. Now today, about three weeks after the last bump, I noticed a new one about 2 inches away from the previous spot. It is the same red bump and again i removed the hair and a clear fluid and blood came out. The area is slightly red and irritated and the hair had a long piece of clear gel like substance on it as well. Is it possible this is herpes and recurring again? Would It be normal to have an initial herpes outbreak in this area? Would i not experience other symptoms if i had contracted herpes i.e swollen lymph nodes, tiredness, pain, itching? Any help would be appreciated
