Herpes or jock itch? Tingling lip too..

I had sex with a woman 6 days ago.  I've know her for a short time, but spoke with her about stds before we had sex and she said she was clean and had been tested recently.  We had protected intercourse twice, and I performed unprotected oral sex on her as well.  A day or so after sex, I had a lot of itching in my groin, crotch, a little on my testicles, and even some around my anus.  I've not had any lesions or blisters as of yet.  I will note it has been hot here and I've had a small amount of jock itch, but since the sex it's been worse for sure.

I had a little irritation on my tongue the past few days but that has since went away.  I've also noticed the left side of my lip tingling the past 3 days, which is what's gotten me worried if I've contracted HSV.  I've never had a cold sore before and am not sure if one is coming or not. I took a full round of std tests at the beginning of the year and tested negative for hsv.

I read that crotch itch and lip tingling could be a sign of hsv 2.  I had a little bit of muscle soreness the first few days after sex, but am wondering if that was just because we had hard sex.  I've also been pretty fatigued, but I've been pretty active too, so assuming it's due to that.

I'm just wondering if I have enough to go on to think I may be having symptoms of hsv or if this is something else?  Should I already have had an outbreak by now with the itching and tingling I've been having?  Is this enough to go talk to a doctor about this or do I need to wait.  Thanks...

To give an update. I still had tingling in the lip this morning and on the inside of my lip I found 3 very small bumps.  One of them was white.  Not in a cluster.  Ended up going to urgent care where the doctor looked at it and said it did not look like HSV initially to him, but swabbed it so he could test it.  He also said he thought it could be oral thrush, or a yeast infection in my mouth.  This is possible since I've been taking a couple steroids to help with an autoimmune illness which lowers your immune system. So now I'm on meds for yeast infection, but am still awaiting my lab results.  It's a few hours later now and the bumps on the inside of my lip haven't gotten worse.  I'm assuming if they were herpes blisters they would have already grown and started to manifest into sores? How long does that usually take?

Thanks for the input Grace. I think I was just freaking out to have some similar symptoms so soon after my encounter, but I figure my symptoms would be be more obvious by now. It seems like the tingling on my lip is lessening as well.  How long do I need to wait before getting another hpv test?  Again, I appreciate your input.  J

if you tested negative for hsv1 and hsv2 previously, odds are that you'd have very obvious and "classic" symptoms, not just the itching you've had.

follow up with your provider. sounds like jock it more than anything.
