Herpes or staph infection

i have hard bumps that could be considered boils in the genital area, some close to the anus, and also under my arms. They can be painful. I have went to many doctors and have gotten different results from: bartholyn cysts to staph. But, i know two people with herpes and the symptoms seem very similar. I took the herpes test and it came back negative, but someone that i know when to the same doctor with the same symptoms and hers came back positive. Any suggestions, comments, and advice?

Herpes isn't going to appear as hard bumps. It also is very unlikely to appear in the arm pit area too.  continue to follow up with your dermatologist to try to get to the bottom of it all.

Thank you for your response. What is your experience in this area, if you don't mind me asking. Also, you think I should be speaking to a dermatologist instead of or in addition to the gynecologist?

this is more than just a genital issue, the dermatologist is the best consult.
