Herpes outbreaks in 2 places

Is it possible to have two herpes outbreaks at the same time, genital and anal-rectal? If you had a genital herpes outbreak but didn't see sores on the anal area, could you be having a rectal outbreak and not know it? Especially when no anal sex was involved? Crazy question I know, but I am new at this whole thing...

I am talking about IN the rectum not the anus...hhh said rectal outbreaks (not anal, higher up in the rectal area) are almost always due to anal sex...is this true?

I like TTO myself too but not everyone tolerates it.  I buy the 2oz bottle for under $5 at walmart ( I'm sooooooo cheap! ).  The way I do it is to wet a cotton ball, put a few drops of TTO on it and then apply it to the lesions.  It might sting initially but it really does seem to help with pain and itching.  I'm a fan of hitting my herpes inside and outside when I have an ob. I up my acyclovir as soon as I feel one coming on and then use the TTO topically as needed. ( warning - TTO smells very herbally )  Still waiting for more studies to see if chamomile oil might be the superior essential oil to use.  They published one last year that said it was better than TTO and a few other essential oils but haven't seen follow up yet in real people.

And yes chuckster you can have ob's in multiple locations either at the same time or one right after the other.  You also don't have to have anal sex in order to get symptoms in the anal area. When the virus infects the genital area - it infects the entire sacral nerve ganglia and can reoccur anywhere in the boxer short area. It's nothing you did - it's the way the virus naturally acts.

Hi,

I have found tea tree oil helps the sores to heal up faster than they would without it. If you are going to apply tea tree oil directly onto the sores you need to be careful the oil is blended with the right amount of carrier oil, as it is an essential oil and very strong. However, the easiest way to use is is just to put quite a few drops of the oil direct into your bath. As tea tree oil is a natural (but non-drying) antiseptic this really seems to work to keep the sores clean and heal quicker.

When I am feeling in touch with myself enough to feel a bump or itch before a sore has broken, if I have a tea tree oil bath straight away I have managed to prevent the sore from bursting and it has disappeared within a day.

What does tea tree oil do when you apply them on the sores?

Hi
From direct experience I can say yes! I have had genital herpes since last November. Had an outbreak this week. It started with only a small sore on my thigh and I thought 'great, it's moved to somewhere less painful', a couple of days later I had a genital outbreak as well.
Have you tried bathing in salt water or a bath with tea tree oil? it really helps to ease the sores, and I imagine would be very soothing for anal outbreaks also.
