with a girl. I didn't finish all the way, but I was definitely inside for a couple minutes or so. The next morning, she decides to tell me that she has herpes. She did also say that she is taking Valtrex. Needless to say, I have been freaking out...whether she is taking meds or not. I have had "flu
-like" symptoms the past couple days....and I am not sure if that can be attributed to herpes symptoms or because I have been under an enormous amount of stress. I do not see any blisters, bumps or anything in the genital area. I also bought a thermometer (b/c i read that one of the symptoms of herpes is a fever
like symptoms are gone. However, I was walking to lunch and felt irritation on the inside of my crotch. When I got home, I inspected it and it is slightly red. Kind of feels like jock
How long do I have to wait to be tested? What can I use to treat this rash? I am scared of spreading the rash to other parts of my body. If anyone could help, I would really really appreciate it. Thank you.
If she is on meds, chances are on your side you did not get anything. Symptoms happen 2 to 10 days after the encounter and nothing you have said suggests you have it. Stop staring at your penis and stop taking your temperature. The odds are on your side so relax. Unless you get some real symptoms, I would move on and not worry about it. This girl did a terrible thing I must say.
Thank you for the advice slacker. These past few days have been extremely stressful. I have been isolating myself and i'm too embarassed to talk to anyone about it. Worst off, the girl does not seem too remorseful. She said that she takes the meds so that she doesn't spread it. Unreal.
How long do I have to wait in order to get tested and for it to show up? Also, do you know what the percentage is that herpes will not be passed on if on meds?
4 months but to be honest, I believe her when she says she is on meds and since she is on meds, chances are even MORE on your side that you are clean!! I am confident you are ok!!! Herpes does not spread 24/7. It's only a handful days a month that it is spread and her being on meds even decreases that so relax and don't worry about it!! :)
