Herpes test result

My partner just got their HSV 1 and 2 test results.
The result....
HSV 1 IGG    0.23 in range
HSV 2 IGG  >5.00 out of range
Please explain...does this mean he does have herpes 2?
...there has never been any visible outbreaks.
Does this mean I have contracted it as well? Or is there a chance I never did contract it?

Hi Grace,
I haven't been tested yet. The results were just recieved.
I am scared to get tested.... scared of possibly hearing that I contracted it.
Before I go in for the test I was just wanting to know is there any way possible that a person couldn't get it from a present carrier.
Does it mean that if he is >5.00 and never had an outbreak that the antibodies and immune system are so strong, fighting the virus that he won't pass it to someone else?
