Herpes test

Will blood work confirm herpes or will I have to wait for another lesion to confirm herpes?

Bloodtest can be used to confirm HSV being present in the body. If you have a positive lesion culture you can be sure you have HSV. However, if you want to test with bloodwork request a type specific herpes IgG test 12-16 weeks after your last sexual expsoure.
