Herpes testing guidiance

Hi
4 days back i had protected oral and vaginal sex with a hooker. I was also with her in shower for 5-10 mins...also kisses in in the lips and tounge briefly.

There was no visible sores in her lips and vagina. I just read abt herpes and how this can not be controlled by use of condoms.

My question now is that after 2 days this incident I feel irritation on tip of my pennis especially after urinating and lips.

I will take the IGG test after 12 weeks but to reduce my anxiety can I take the igm test? And if so how many days should I need to wait..

Thighs are not where you often find herpes lesions. The skin is very thick unlike the sensitive areas of your genitals.

I do not buy into the excessive pain bit, but you would expected a blistery handful of patches to emerge for a herpes lesion (again not the thigh in isolation from more sensitive areas.

Many thanks for ur support. All the above said results are negative and the doctor is reassure I do not have any herpes symptoms. My burnning urination has also gone down. However I developed few rashes on my right thigh and bums yesterday and they are red and small.

When my GP looked into them he said it do not look like herpes rash coz if I have herpes rash the pain will be very high that I can't even sit and the pain will be like a knife stab..

Is am bit consern abt these and it will be helpful if you can provide your knowledge on this. Will the pain  be so high even if the herpes rash are not filled with fluids and at initial stage.


He says they are common dry skin rash and not to worry about it so much..

I am in south africa, my doctor said he can see nothing clinically relates to herpes .. However he has ordered the following tests

RPR + TPHA
Chlamydia trachomatus ab
Hep B surface antigen

Bowel movements unlikely to be related, just to stress.

Thanks , I got an apponiment with my GP tomorrow. What all test I need to ask him and also from last two days I feel a  irritation  burning after my bowel movement.

No it doesn't align with herpes.

I'd be concerned about a bacterial infection though and possibly an STD bacteria. Get your urine tested immediately, testing should be reliable after a week.

Hi just a more clarification... Its been almost 8 days after exposure and I still have that irritation and burning sensation on my pennies and its worst after urinating...

Also I do not see any score or lesions. I am really terrified ... Please does these feels like herpes.

The testing is either:
- swab test of any lesions
- IgG antibody blood test 12-16 weeks after exposure.

There are no other credible tests.

There isn't much to suggest herpes here.

Thanks a lot for ur response.. From last night I also have a pain in my left groin area and I did check for swollen nodes and do not find any thing yet.. I also have this weird feeling ( not sure if it is a burning or tingling feel) in my uretha hole after peeing and this last for 15 - 20 mins... Also as you mentioned I some time I have a itching feel in my pubic hair area and near my sack.. But no red rashes so for or any colour chage ..

I am really confused and would like to know if there is any test that I can take apart form the IGG antibodies test to identify if I have herpes.

No do not take the IgM, it is not reliable or interpretable in adults and will add confusion.

If you contracted herpes, then the irritation would be outside the protected area, that is not on your penis.
